Robert Plant & the Sensational Shape Shifters @ the Greek Theater
Okay; WOW! I don't know what else to say. At 69 years old, Robert Plant still sounds as amazing as he did 45 years ago. The Greek Theater was the perfect venue to see him. The acoustics were amazing, the food was phenomenal (with vegetarian and gluten free options) and yes I do have more to say. Robert Plant is my all time favorite Rock Star. He's the whole package; vocal genius that sounds the same. Although the Songs Don't remain the same. I saw him in 1985 when he was with The Honeydrippers. His sound then was Robert Plant's first collaboration with Robbie Blunt It's an exuberant tribute to the blues and R&B. Now with the band Robert Plant and The Sensational Shape Shifters this newer sound celebrates not only Robert and the recent past but Led Zeppelin as well. All the sounds and styles combined to bring forth yet many more masterpieces of musical shape shifting. The name says it all. It must be heard and even better seen live. It was one of the best shows I've seen and I've seen hundreds. Five STARS to you Robert Plant for bringing it home once again. There is very good reason this man is so much adored. All he does is truly with all of his love. A must on anyone's concert bucket list. Like I always say, " Life's to short not to go to see your favorites" it is good for the soul !!
